About Namesome
A small set of free random pickers, built to be fair, quiet and readable in six languages.
What this is
Namesome picks names. A wheel to spin, a picker for long lists, a team maker, a number wheel, a yes-or-no wheel and a gift draw for Secret Santa. Each one runs in your own browser, and each one is meant to be working in the ten seconds before a room starts watching.
Free, and no account
Every tool is free and nothing asks you to sign up. There is no advertising on Namesome, and there will never be any on the classroom pages — a room full of children is not an audience to sell.
Where the names live
The names you type stay in your browser. Sharing a wheel, opening a join list and asking for a draw record are the only things that send anything to a server, and each one says so before it does. A cookie remembers the language you chose; nothing here follows you around the web.
Six languages, not one with translations
English, العربية, Español, Русский, 中文 and Português, each with its own address, and Arabic laid out right to left throughout rather than mirrored at the end. If a sentence reads wrong in your language, write to us — it is the fastest thing on the whole site to fix.
Who makes it
One person, working alone, with no company and no investors behind it. That is why it is small, why a reply can be slow, and why there is no catch to look for: the site costs very little to run, and the tools stay free.
What it will never be
Namesome picks names, and that is the whole job. There are no tickets, no entry fees, no prizes and no betting odds anywhere in it, and the terms forbid using it for gambling.
