Name picker
Pick names from a list
Paste a list, say how many you need, and get a clean result you can copy, export or share. No wheel required.
Use the names from your wheel?
Your list
4 namesNo duplicatesThe same name twice is fine — both slices count. Merge them if it was a slip.
Repeated names get a number so you can tell them apart.
That's the 200,000-name limit — the names past it were left out.
This list is too long to keep automatically — it stays on screen, but it will not be here after a reload.
Long lists stay smooth — paste thousands of names and scrolling keeps up.
Upload a CSV
Names stay in this browser unless you share them, open a join list, or ask for a draw record.
Off, every name comes up at most once. On, the same name can come up again.

Questions about the picker
Is the draw really random?
Yes. Every draw asks crypto.getRandomValues, the cryptographic random source built into your browser, and it is the same code the wheel runs. Put something in the seed box and the draw becomes repeatable instead of fresh: the same list with the same seed always gives the same order, which is what makes a draw somebody else can check.
How long a list can I paste?
Up to 200,000 names. The list is drawn a window at a time as you scroll, so a very long one stays smooth; names past the limit are left out and the page says so.
Can the same name come up twice?
Not within one draw unless you switch the put-back option on. Two people who really are spelled the same are two separate rows and both stay in play — the list numbers them so you can tell which is which.
Can I keep the result?
Every draw lands in the history under the list, and the history exports as a CSV file. The file is built here in your browser; nothing is uploaded to make it.
